Chhattisgarh Plane Crash

Reports claiming that a private plane had crashed in the forested area of Jashpur district in Chhattisgarh have been officially denied by district authorities and air traffic officials.

On Monday, several media reports and social media posts suggested that a small private aircraft had gone down in a hilly forest region of Jashpur. Some visuals were also circulated online showing smoke and fire, which led to confusion and concern among local residents.

However, officials have now clarified that there is no evidence of any such plane crash.

Jashpur District Collector Rohit Vyas clearly stated that no crash site has been found anywhere in the forest area. He added that search teams checked the reported locations but did not find any wreckage or signs of an accident.

Air traffic control authorities also confirmed that no aircraft had lost contact in that region. They said all monitored flights were operating normally, and there was no missing or untracked aircraft in the area at the time of the reports.

Officials further said that they coordinated with air traffic systems in nearby states, including Jharkhand and Odisha. Both states also confirmed that no aircraft under their control had gone missing or faced any emergency situation that could be linked to Chhattisgarh.

This clarification has helped reduce panic caused by the viral reports. Authorities have also urged people not to believe or spread unverified information, especially on social media, without official confirmation.

This incident comes shortly after a few recent aviation accidents in other parts of India, which may have contributed to public concern. In one case earlier this year, an air ambulance crash in Jharkhand led to fatalities, and another training aircraft incident in Madhya Pradesh injured crew members. However, officials have stressed that the current Jashpur claim is completely false.

For now, authorities confirm that normal aviation activity is continuing in the region, and no crash has taken place in Chhattisgarh’s Jashpur district.

The investigation into how the misinformation started is expected to continue, but officials have made it clear that there is no aircraft accident or emergency in the area.
