An IndiGo flight travelling from Goa to Delhi made an emergency landing at Goa airport on Tuesday morning after reporting an issue with one of its engines. The incident prompted Air Traffic Control (ATC) to briefly declare a full emergency as the aircraft returned to the airport.
The flight, IndiGo 6E 2102, departed from Goa at around 9:16 am and was scheduled to fly to Delhi. Soon after takeoff, the aircraft reported a problem with one of its engines. The pilots then decided to return to Goa as a safety precaution.
According to sources, the aircraft began turning back towards Goa after the engine problem was reported. At around 9:30 am, ATC declared a full emergency to coordinate the aircraft’s safe return and landing.

Data from aviation tracker Flightradar24 showed the Delhi-bound aircraft returning towards Goa after flying over the coast of southern Maharashtra.

The IndiGo aircraft landed safely on Runway 28 at around 9:51 am. After landing, it was moved to Stand 6, where it was fully parked.
Once the aircraft was safely on the ground, Air Traffic Control terminated the full emergency.
The incident caused concern because an engine problem occurred while the aircraft was already in the air. However, the pilots were able to safely bring the aircraft back to Goa without any reported landing difficulty in the information provided.Following an engine-related incident, the aircraft is expected to undergo detailed technical checks before it can return to regular operations.
