Pune Airport News

Pune Airport has come out on top among 16 airports run by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) in the latest Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey. It scored 4.98 out of 5 for the third quarter of 2026.

The ACI ASQ survey measures how satisfied passengers are with the services at an airport. The latest results cover the third quarter, from July to September 2026. Pune Airport’s score of 4.98 is slightly better than the 4.97 it received in the previous quarter (April to June). The rise is only 0.01 points, but it keeps the airport at the top of the AAI list.

Pune’s score is well above the average of the 16 AAI airports, which is 4.90 for July to September. That average was 4.88 in the previous quarter, so AAI airports as a group improved slightly.

The airport is also far ahead of the world average. The global average score is 4.36, which fell by 0.02 points from 4.38 in the last quarter. This means Pune is performing much better than the average airport in the world, according to passenger feedback.

In the worldwide ranking, Pune stands at 58th place this quarter. That is one spot lower than its 57th position in the previous quarter. Even though its score rose a little, its ranking slipped by one place, which can happen when other airports around the world also improve their scores.

Pune achieved this score despite capacity constraints. Like many busy airports, Pune has limited space and facilities compared with the number of passengers it handles. Doing well in passenger satisfaction in such conditions is seen as a positive sign for the airport staff and management.
