Jazeera Airways selects CFM LEAP-1A engines to power nine Airbus A320neo aircraft and extends its services agreement
Jazeera Airways has selected CFM International LEAP-1A engines to power nine additional A320neo aircraft. In addition, Jazeera Airways and CFM have expanded the scope of their existing engine services agreement, which now covers the airline’s current and future fleet of 29 A320neo family aircraft, along with the purchase of spare engines.

Jazeera Airways became the first LEAP-1A-powered A320neo operator in the Middle East in May 2018 and currently operates 11 A320neo aircraft powered by LEAP-1A engines. The airline also operates 13 CFM56-5B-powered A320ceo aircraft.

In the 10 years since LEAP entered service, CFM has delivered more than 10,000 engines that have accumulated over 100 million flight hours. CFM continues to upgrade the LEAP fleet with a high-pressure turbine (HPT) durability kit to extend time on wing and a reverse bleed system (RBS). The company is focused on delivering high engine availability through exceptional MRO performance and competitive cost of ownership, with the benefits of aftermarket competition through its open MRO ecosystem.
