IndiGo News: Flights to Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Madinah Cancelled Till Nov 14

IndiGo News
IndiGo has extended the suspension of its flights to four cities in Saudi Arabia until November 14, 2026. The decision affects many Indian travellers, including Umrah pilgrims.
In a travel advisory, the airline said flights to and from Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah will remain cancelled until 14 November 2026 because of ongoing airspace restrictions in the region. The Indian mission in Jeddah also confirmed the same date in a post on X.
The cancellations are linked to security concerns in the region. The airline cited airspace restrictions connected to the West Asia conflict. Earlier reports said Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport was closed after reported Houthi missile attacks.
This is not the first time IndiGo has extended the suspension. In mid-October, the airline cancelled flights to the four cities until October 17. It then extended the cancellation for Riyadh until October 31 and for Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah until October 27. A later advisory moved the date for Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah to October 31 as well. The latest extension now takes the date to November 14.
IndiGo is not the only airline making changes. Air India and Air India Express have extended cancellations of flights connecting Riyadh and Dammam until November 7, while Jeddah services remain suspended until October 31. Akasa Air has extended its suspension for Riyadh flights until November 30 and for Jeddah until November 10.
Saudi Arabia is a popular destination for Indians. Many people travel there for work, to meet family and for Umrah pilgrimage. Madinah and Jeddah are key stops for pilgrims, so the cancellations may force many of them to change or postpone their plans.
- Do not go to the airport without checking your flight status first.
- Contact IndiGo to ask about rebooking or refunds for cancelled flights.
- Keep your phone number and email updated with the airline to get alerts.
- If you are travelling for Umrah, speak to your travel agent about changing dates.
- Follow advisories from the Indian embassy and consulates in Saudi Arabia.
As the dates have already been extended several times, they may change again. Travellers should continue checking official updates.
