Embraer Strengthens Regional Aviation with Key Orders at Paris Air Show 2025

Embraer reinforced its global leadership in the regional aviation market at the Paris Air Show 2025, with major commitments for its fuel-efficient E-Jet family. The new orders and lease agreements underscore the growing demand for sustainable, cost-effective regional travel and further reinforce Embraer’s position in a highly competitive market.

SkyWest Places $3.6 Billion Order for 60 Jets

SkyWest, the largest owner and operator of Embraer E-Jets globally, confirmed a firm order for 60 aircraft, with options for 50 more, valued at $3.6 billion at list price. This order will be added to Embraer’s backlog for Q2, with deliveries scheduled to start in 2027.

“As the largest E175 operator in the world, this order allows us to continue advancing our fleet strategy,” said Chip Childs, President and CEO of SkyWest. “It reinforces our ability to deliver premier regional service across North America.”

The E175 continues to be a mainstay of regional aviation in the U.S., offering dual-class cabin flexibility, strong performance in challenging operating environments, and high passenger satisfaction. With this new order, SkyWest extends a fleet relationship with Embraer that dates back nearly four decades.

Airlink to Lease 10 E195-E2s to Boost Regional Reach

Airlink, Southern Africa’s leading full-service airline, announced plans to lease 10 E195-E2 aircraft from Azorra, a Florida-based lessor and Embraer partner. Deliveries are scheduled from late 2025 through 2027.

The new aircraft will allow Airlink to enhance fuel efficiency by up to 29% compared to earlier-generation models while expanding its network reach across sub-Saharan Africa. The E195-E2’s 136- and 124-seat configurations also allow for greater flexibility on high-demand routes.

“With these new E2 jets, we can operate more efficiently and competitively while continuing to deliver the reliability and comfort our passengers expect,” said de Villiers Engelbrecht, CEO of Airlink.

The addition complements Airlink’s existing Embraer fleet and maintains strong operational commonality in areas such as training, flight deck systems, and maintenance—ensuring a streamlined entry into service.

Arjan Meijer, President and CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation, stated: “Both SkyWest and Airlink are trusted, long-term Embraer partners. Their continued investment in our aircraft speaks to the performance, reliability, and economic value the E-Jet and E2 platforms deliver.”

With these commitments, Embraer further strengthens its position as a preferred partner for regional carriers focused on modern, right-sized aircraft solutions.
