Hyderabad International Airport Enhances Taipei–Hyderabad–Dubai Cargo Corridor with Emirates SkyCargo Operations

GMR Hyderabad International Airport has welcomed the successful commencement of Emirates SkyCargo’s dedicated Boeing 777 Freighter service connecting Taipei–Hyderabad–Dubai. The new service strengthens Hyderabad Airport’s growing position as one of India’s leading air cargo gateways, while further enhancing trade connectivity between East Asia, India and the Middle East.

With a payload capacity exceeding 100 tonnes and long-haul operating capabilities, the Boeing 777F will significantly boost cargo movement across the strategic Taipei–Hyderabad–Dubai corridor. The new service is expected to support the seamless movement of high-value and time-sensitive shipments, including pharmaceuticals, life sciences products, electronics, semiconductors, perishables and express cargo.

The corridor provides direct access between Taipei’s electronics and semiconductor ecosystem and Hyderabad’s globally recognized life sciences, pharmaceutical, and emerging technology sectors, while Dubai enables seamless onward connectivity to over 145 destinations worldwide.

The service further enhances Hyderabad Airport Cargo’s position as a key gateway for global trade, supported by advanced cargo infrastructure, dedicated pharmaceutical handling facilities, robust cold-chain systems, and efficient multimodal transport links. The expanded network is well-suited to serve diverse cargo segments, including pharmaceuticals, life sciences, perishables, electronics, technology products, and express shipments. Backed by a strong ecosystem of airlines, freight forwarders, logistics partners, and regulatory agencies, the airport delivers seamless cargo movement through integrated airside and landside operations.

Hyderabad Airport’s cargo offers an end-to-end temperature-controlled logistics chain, ensuring seamless product integrity for pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and life sciences cargo from terminal to aircraft. This is complemented by a highly secure cargo ecosystem featuring advanced surveillance, AI-enabled perimeter protection, and dedicated high-value storage, making it a preferred gateway for semiconductor, server, aerospace, and other mission-critical shipments. Together, these capabilities enable the safe, reliable, and efficient movement of sensitive and high-value cargo.

In addition, it has enhanced its  customer visibility, transparency, and efficiency through digital and technology-driven solutions, including real-time shipment tracking via its WhatsApp chatbot, RFID-enabled cargo track-and-trace capabilities, and 24×7 temperature monitoring across its dedicated Pharma Zone. Supported by automated storage systems for faster cargo retrieval and validated temperature telemetry for sensitive shipments, these initiatives help reduce dwell times, improve cargo integrity, and deliver a more reliable, predictable, and customer-centric logistics experience.

The addition of Emirates SkyCargo’s Boeing 777 Freighter complements Hyderabad Airport cargo’s robust international cargo network, which includes direct long-haul freighter services operated by Lufthansa Cargo, Turkish Cargo, Qatar Cargo and Ethiopian Cargo, connecting the city to major global logistics hubs including Frankfurt, Istanbul, Doha, and Addis Ababa.

Designed for future growth and operational resilience, Hyderabad Airport’s expanding cargo infrastructure enables it to adapt to evolving trade patterns while supporting supply chain efficiency, agility, and reliability. The introduction of the Taipei–Hyderabad–Dubai corridor further advances the airport’s vision of becoming a leading logistics gateway connecting India with major global markets
