Jewar Airport News: New Noida to Get Direct Connectivity as Airport-Driven Development Accelerates

Jewar Airport News
The upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar is expected to become a major driver of economic growth and infrastructure development in western Uttar Pradesh. In a significant development, plans are being prepared to directly connect New Noida with Jewar Airport through a new expressway network, making travel easier and supporting future urban expansion.
According to officials from the Noida Authority, a proposal has been prepared to connect New Noida with the airport through a 72-kilometre-long link expressway. The proposed route will connect the Ganga Expressway with the Yamuna Expressway and pass through several villages in Bulandshahr district. A large portion of the expressway is expected to pass through areas that are part of the planned New Noida region.
The project is aimed at improving transportation infrastructure and ensuring smooth connectivity between emerging urban centres and the international airport. Officials believe that better road access will attract investment, encourage industrial growth, and create new employment opportunities in the region.
Noida Authority Additional Chief Executive Officer Satish Pal said that a proposal has been prepared to build a rotary or roundabout on the link expressway. This rotary will help connect New Noida directly to the expressway network. The proposal is expected to be presented in an upcoming Noida Authority board meeting for approval.
Once completed, the rotary will connect many villages and future sectors planned under the New Noida development project. Residents and businesses in these areas will be able to reach Jewar Airport more quickly and conveniently.
Officials have also highlighted the importance of establishing stronger links between Noida and New Noida. At present, authorities are exploring different options to improve connectivity between the two regions. New road links may be developed to ensure direct access and better movement of people and goods.
Noida Authority OSD Kranti Shekhar stated that land acquisition efforts are also being planned around the Eastern Peripheral Expressway. The authority intends to acquire land from farmers through mutual agreement. A site office for New Noida is expected to be established in this area to coordinate development activities.
In addition, authorities are planning to widen several existing roads. Roads that currently have a width of 18 metres may be expanded to 24 metres according to the master development plan. This will improve traffic flow and support future growth as the region develops.
The development of Jewar Airport is already being seen as a game-changing project for Uttar Pradesh. The airport is expected to attract businesses, logistics companies, industries, and tourism-related investments. Better road connectivity will further strengthen its role as a major transportation hub.
Experts believe that the direct connection between New Noida and Jewar Airport will increase land values, improve accessibility, and accelerate urban development across the region. The project is also expected to benefit local communities by creating jobs and improving infrastructure.
As planning moves forward, the proposed expressway and connectivity projects are likely to play a key role in shaping the future growth of Noida, New Noida, and the surrounding areas. With improved transportation links and the arrival of a world-class airport, the region is preparing for a new phase of economic and urban development.
