China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited (CALC) today announced the selection of CFM International LEAP-1A engines to power and additional 20 A320neo and A321neo aircraft.

CALC has taken delivery of 51 new fuel-efficient A320neo and A321neo aircraft, powered by LEAP-1A engines and leased to 13 operators. With this latest order, CALC will have selected LEAP-1A engines for a total of 90 aircraft. In addition, CALC’s portfolio includes 73 aircraft powered by CFM56-5B/7B engines, which are leased to 18 operators.

CALC became a CFM customer in 2013 when they placed their first engine order to power 25 Airbus A320ceo family aircraft with CFM56-5B engines.

With more than 10,000 engines delivered to date, CFM LEAP engines have experienced the fastest ramp in commercial aviation history. CFM continues to upgrade the LEAP fleet with a high-pressure turbine (HPT) durability kit to extend time on wing and a reverse bleed system (RBS) to lower airline maintenance burden. The company is focused on delivering high engine availability through exceptional MRO performance and competitive cost of ownership, with the benefits of aftermarket competition through its open MRO ecosystem.
