BARIG Air Cargo Community Continues to Grow, Welcoming CMA CGM AIR CARGO as a New Member

Frankfurt am Main, September 24, 2026. The international airline association BARIG (Board of Airline Representatives in Germany) continues to grow in the air freight sector and welcomes CMA CGM AIR CARGO as another new and globally connected member. Founded in 2021, the airline is part of the CMA CGM Group, a global player in sea, land, air, and logistics solutions.
“The further development of air cargo is one of BARIG’s key tasks. In 2025, German airports recorded air cargo volume of approximately 4.86 million metric tons, representing a 1.6 percent increase compared to 2024. However, the air cargo industry in Germany is suffering significantly from state-imposed location costs, high fees, and administrative challenges,” emphasizes BARIG Chairman and Executive Director Michael Hoppe. “We are working closely together with other associations to also improve the framework conditions for air cargo. We are delighted to have CMA CGM AIR CARGO—a new BARIG member with a global presence—on board to join our efforts.”
CMA CGM AIR CARGO is based at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, where the airline has three Boeing 777F and one Airbus A330-200F stationed; two additional Boeing 777F are based in the United States. In addition to Paris, CMA CGM AIR CARGO also connects Germany and Benelux region to Asia and America.
