Aircalin signs Flight Hour Services contract for Airbus A350-900 fleet
New Caledonia’s Aircalin has selected Airbus Flight Hour Services (FHS) to support its future A350-900 fleet. The airline has two of the latest-generation, long-range widebodies on order with Airbus, the first of which is scheduled for delivery at the end of 2026.
The agreement was signed in Singapore at MRO Asia by Aircalin’s Vice-President Maintenance & Engineering, Eric Boucher and Maud Rotureau, Vice-President, Commercial Services at Airbus. It is the first A350 FHS agreement to be signed with an airline in the Pacific region.
The long-term power-by-the-hour contract covers integrated component services, including on-site stock, pool access, and repair services, guaranteeing component availability to support the airline’s long-haul operations.
Through this agreement, Aircalin will leverage Airbus’ strong supply chain processes, access to one of the industry’s largest component inventories, superior component engineering, design expertise, and the Skywise data analytics platform.
“Airbus has been a key partner as Aircalin enters a new era. The A350-900 will be our new flagship, flying on our long-haul routes to Paris. We are enthusiastic about extending our current FHS partnership with Airbus to the A350-900 programme,” said Eric Boucher, Aircalin’s VP Maintenance & Engineering.
