The United Aircraft Corporation Showcases Comprehensive Solutions for India’s Air Transport Development
The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of the Rostec State Corporation) will present its lineup of latest fully Russian-made airliners at Innoprom.India exhibition in New Delhi. These aircraft are ready to become a driver for the development of India’s airlines.
Models of turboprop regional aircraft IL-114-300, short-range turbofan SJ-100 and medium-range MC-21 airliner are showcased at the joint exhibit of UAC and United Engine Corporation.
As part of the INNOPROM business program, UAC is organizing a special session titled “Partnership Takes Flight: Towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat through Regional Aviation Projects”. The event will showcase a concept for utilizing Russian aircraft to develop air travel in India, highlighting UAC’s capabilities regarding the localization of production and after-sales support for aircraft and components.
The aircraft lineup presented at the exhibition can fully meet the needs of local airlines. The IL-114-300 will facilitate the development of regional air services from small airfields under the UDAN program (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik – “Let the country’s common citizens fly”). The SJ-100 can be used for flights connecting major metropolises with regional centers and smaller towns, while the MC-21 can operate on the busiest routes.
“We are continuing the work initiated at the ‘Wings of India’ exhibition last January. Over the past six months, we have made significant progress in negotiations and reached a number of agreements regarding the IL-114-300, which we will sign at INNOPROM India. The capabilities of UAC and other Rostec enterprises allow us to offer Indian partners not just individual products, but comprehensive industrial cooperation ranging from the supply of aviation hardware to production localization and technology partnerships. A prime example of such collaboration is our project to localize SJ-100 production with HAL Corporation. To date, we have finalized over 80% of the licensing agreement and plan to sign it soon. We expect to conclude a contract with the first Indian operator at the upcoming Aero India 2027 exhibition,“ noted Vadim Badekha, CEO of UAC PJSC.
The Russian Il-114-300 turboprop aircraft is designed to develop regional air connectivity. It is capable of operating autonomously from small airfields – regardless of their infrastructure – as well as from short runways. The aircraft is built using domestically produced components and is powered by TV7-117ST-01 engines.
The SJ-100 is a short-range narrow-body aircraft with a capacity of up to 103 passengers. As part of import-substitution efforts, the aircraft is equipped with Russian PD-8 engines, as well as domestic landing gear, avionics, an auxiliary power unit, and other systems. It offers a high level of comfort for its class and is designed to foster regional air travel that bypasses major aviation hubs.
The MC-21 is a new-generation medium-range passenger aircraft. Developed using state-of-the-art technology, the airliner targets the most high-demand segment of the passenger air travel market. Advanced aerodynamics, PD-14 engines, and cutting-edge systems ensure high flight performance.
