The area around Noida International Airport is set for further industrial and logistics development after the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) approved a new logistics park and planned a large industrial hub near the airport.
At its 93rd board meeting, YEIDA approved a 200-acre multimodal logistics park at Tappal-Bajna. The project is expected to support the movement and storage of goods and strengthen supply chain infrastructure in the region.
The land for the logistics park will be offered to eligible investors through an e-auction process. YEIDA officials said the project is expected to attract investment and create employment opportunities. It is also aimed at developing the Yamuna region as an important logistics centre.
Along with the logistics park, YEIDA is planning a much larger 8,000-hectare industrial node south of Noida International Airport. The proposed industrial area is expected to provide land and infrastructure for future industries and businesses.
YEIDA is currently working on the process of appointing a consultant to prepare the master plan for the industrial node. The plan will help decide how land and infrastructure will be developed for different industrial activities.
The two projects are expected to support the growth of the airport region as more businesses look for locations close to air, road and other transport networks. The development of logistics facilities could also help companies move goods more efficiently.
The projects may create opportunities for industries, logistics companies, warehouses and other businesses that support supply chain operations. They are also expected to generate employment as new commercial and industrial activities develop in the area.
During the board meeting, YEIDA also approved the YEIDA Corpus Fund Investment Regulation 2026-27. The fund will provide a dedicated financial mechanism for maintaining civic infrastructure within the authority’s area.
Under the approved framework, one-time lease rent and other eligible non-recurring receipts will be placed in the corpus fund and invested according to prescribed rules.
With the approval of the logistics park and plans for the large industrial node, development around Noida International Airport is expected to gain further momentum. The projects will play a role in supporting industrial growth, investment and logistics infrastructure in the Yamuna region.
