The Uttar Pradesh Government is planning to open a new aviation-focused residential school for girls near the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar. The school is expected to start operations from the 2027-28 academic session, beginning in April 2027. The initiative aims to provide quality education while preparing students for careers in the fast-growing aviation industry.

The new institution will be a 480-seat Sarvodaya residential school and will be developed as a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Aviation. Officials said the school’s location near Noida International Airport makes it an ideal place to introduce aviation-related education and career opportunities for young girls.

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Social Welfare, Asim Arun, said the government wants to provide modern education to girls while also helping them build careers in emerging sectors such as aviation. He said the project is designed to empower students with knowledge, confidence, and skills that will help them achieve their dreams.

The government has partnered with The Doon School, one of India’s leading educational institutions, to provide academic mentorship and institutional support. Experienced teachers and experts from The Doon School will regularly visit the campus to guide students and staff. They will also help improve teaching methods, school administration, and extracurricular activities, ensuring high educational standards.

The Boarding Schools’ Association of India (BSAI) has also welcomed the initiative. BSAI Chief Executive Officer Sapna Sukul said the partnership aims to ensure quality education reaches every child. She expressed hope that more boarding schools associated with the organisation would participate in similar educational projects in the future.

The school will be built by the Uttar Pradesh Projects Corporation Limited on around six acres of land provided by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). The project will cost approximately ₹25 crore.

The campus will offer education from pre-primary to Class 12 and will include modern facilities such as smart classrooms, science laboratories, computer labs, a well-equipped library, sports facilities, and other learning resources. These facilities are expected to create a comfortable and advanced learning environment for students.

Officials believe that the school’s aviation focus will help students explore careers as pilots, cabin crew members, airport managers, aircraft maintenance professionals, air traffic controllers, and other aviation-related roles. As the Noida International Airport develops into a major aviation hub, students graduating from the school may benefit from better training opportunities and future employment prospects.

The project also reflects the Uttar Pradesh Government’s commitment to improving girls’ education and promoting skill development in sectors with strong future growth. By combining quality education with aviation-focused learning, the school aims to prepare young girls for successful careers while supporting the state’s expanding aviation ecosystem.

The proposed aviation-focused girls’ school is expected to become a landmark educational institution in the region. With modern infrastructure, expert academic guidance, and its strategic location near Noida International Airport, it has the potential to create new opportunities for students and contribute to the future growth of India’s aviation industry.
