Gulf Air Ranks First in the Middle East and Africa for Punctuality in Cirium Report for September 2026
Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, ranked first in the Middle East and Africa for on-time arrivals in the September 2026 report issued by Cirium, an independent aviation analytics provider, and remained the most punctual airline in the Middle East for the second consecutive month.
According to Cirium’s September 2026 On-Time Performance Monthly Report, Gulf Air ranked first in the Middle East and Africa category, with an on-time arrival rate of 92.90%, moving up from second place in August.

Gulf Air recorded an improvement of 0.43 percentage points compared with August, with its on-time arrival rate increasing from 92.47% in August to 92.90% in September.
Gulf Air also recorded strong results across other operational indicators during September, with an on-time departure rate of 91.58% and 83.02% of flights completed within block time, both the highest among the five airlines featured in Cirium’s Middle East and Africa operational highlights. The airline also recorded a completion factor of 99.44% across a total of 4,089 flights during the month.
These results reflect Gulf Air’s consistent operational performance, efficient planning and execution, and operational resilience, alongside the efforts of the airline’s operations, engineering and ground services teams and its crews, helping maintain high levels of punctuality and reliability across its services.
