GMR Aerospace Park Strengthens Global Footprint with FTG’s First India Facility

GMR Hyderabad Aviation SEZ Limited (GHASL), a 100% subsidiary of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd. (GHIAL), today announced the launch of FTG’s (Firan Technology Group Corporation) first manufacturing facility in India at the GMR Aerospace & Industrial Park, Hyderabad. The inauguration was attended by senior Government representatives and leadership from GMR & FTG, marking a significant milestone in strengthening India’s position in the global aerospace manufacturing value chain.

FTG’s entry into India represents its expansion into its fourth global manufacturing geography, following Canada, the United States, and China, further underscoring India’s growing attractiveness as a destination for high-precision aerospace electronics manufacturing.

The newly launched facility will focus on the production of advanced avionics and cockpit interface electronics, supporting global aerospace and defence programs.

Developed as a customised Built-to-Suit (BTS) facility, the unit reflects GMR’s proven capability to design, engineer, and deliver world-class industrial infrastructure aligned with stringent global OEM standards. Located within the 277-acre GMR Aerospace & Industrial Park, the facility benefits from integration into one of India’s most comprehensive airport-led industrial ecosystems.

FTG is globally recognised for its expertise in the design and manufacturing of high-reliability printed circuit boards and avionics subsystems, catering to the aerospace, defence, and space sectors. With operations across North America and Asia, the company is known for its precision engineering capabilities and mission-critical electronic solutions that support leading global aerospace OEMs.

The addition of FTG further strengthens the GMR Aerospace & Industrial Park’s standing as India’s premier aerospace and defence manufacturing hub. The Park hosts a growing cluster of global and domestic industry leaders, including Safran, Pratt & Whitney, CFM, XDLInx, FSTC, Gretel Aviation, Cyient DLM, Skyroot Aerospace, Schneider Electric, TechnipFMC and GMR Aero Technic, creating a unique ecosystem spanning manufacturing, maintenance, training, and innovation.

With this launch, GMR continues to reinforce its commitment to enabling global aerospace investments in India, while accelerating the country’s ‘Make in India’ vision and aerospace and defence offset ambitions through infrastructure, ecosystem development, and strategic partnerships.
