Noida Airport News: Jewar Airport to Conduct Emergency Preparedness Drill on October 29

Noida Airport News
Narendra Modi International Airport in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, is scheduled to conduct a full-scale emergency preparedness drill on October 29 to assess its readiness to handle an aircraft accident and other emergencies.
The exercise will involve multiple agencies, including the district administration, police, health department, fire services, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
The drill will simulate an aircraft crash involving around 200 injured passengers. Emergency teams will practise rescue operations, passenger evacuation, ambulance deployment and the transportation of injured passengers to nearby hospitals.
According to the emergency response arrangements, approximately 60 ambulances from 16 hospitals will be mobilised during the exercise. Traffic police will also prepare a green corridor to help ambulances reach hospitals without unnecessary delays.
The participating hospitals will assess the availability of emergency medical services, intensive care unit beds, ventilators, specialist doctors, blood banks and burn treatment facilities.
The exercise will test the coordination between airport authorities, emergency responders, medical teams and law enforcement agencies. Preparations for the drill have included a tabletop exercise conducted on October 12, during which officials discussed their respective responsibilities and emergency response procedures.
Participating teams are expected to report to the airport in the morning for a briefing, while the simulated emergency response operations are planned for the afternoon.
