IndiGo News: Daily Mumbai-Dar es Salaam Flights to Start From November 20

IndiGo is set to strengthen its international network with the launch of daily direct flights between Mumbai and Dar es Salaam in Tanzania from November 20, 2026. The new service will provide nonstop connectivity between India and Tanzania and expand IndiGo’s presence in East Africa.
According to the airline, IndiGo will become the only Indian airline offering direct flights between Mumbai and Dar es Salaam once the new service begins, subject to regulatory approvals. Bookings for the flights are already available through IndiGo’s website, mobile application and authorised travel partners.
The new service will operate every day under flight numbers 6E 1851 and 6E 1852.
Under the announced schedule, flight 6E 1851 will depart from Mumbai at 2:20 am and reach Dar es Salaam at 6:05 am. The return flight, 6E 1852, will leave Dar es Salaam at 7:05 am and arrive in Mumbai at 3:55 pm.
The timings are subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.
The direct service is expected to make travel between India and Tanzania easier by removing the need for passengers to take connecting flights through other international hubs.
The Mumbai-Dar es Salaam route will further expand IndiGo’s international operations in Africa. The airline already operates direct services from India to destinations including Nairobi, Mauritius and Seychelles.
Dar es Salaam will add another important destination to the airline’s growing African network. The city is one of Tanzania’s major commercial and economic centres and is also an important gateway to East Africa.
The new route could provide more travel options for Indian passengers visiting Tanzania for business, tourism, education and other purposes.
