Karachi, July 8: Pakistani authorities have launched a major search and rescue operation after a K2 Airways Boeing 737-400 cargo aircraft went missing while flying from Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, to Karachi, Pakistan. The cargo flight lost contact with air traffic controllers before it was scheduled to land, raising concerns about the safety of the aircraft and its five crew members.

According to the PAA, the last known position of the aircraft was approximately 155 nautical miles west of Karachi, over the Arabian Sea. Since then, there has been no confirmed communication with the flight.
The cargo aircraft was carrying five crew members at the time of the incident. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the crew, and there has been no official confirmation regarding their condition.
Following the loss of contact, the Pakistan Airports Authority immediately began coordinating a search and rescue operation.
