Fly91 Flight Diverted to Bengaluru Amid Bad Weather, Passengers Panic Mid-Air

Fly91 Flight Diverted
A Fly91 flight travelling from Hyderabad to Hubballi was diverted to Bengaluru after bad weather conditions prevented a safe landing at Hubballi airport, causing panic among passengers onboard. The incident took place on Sunday, and videos from inside the aircraft later surfaced on social media showing frightened passengers crying and praying.
According to reports, the flight had departed Hyderabad at around 3 pm and was scheduled to land in Hubballi by 4:30 pm. However, due to poor visibility and unfavourable weather near Hubballi, the aircraft was unable to land and remained in the air for an extended period before being diverted to Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru.
Several passengers reportedly became anxious during the delay, especially first-time flyers. Viral clips showed emotional scenes inside the cabin as people pleaded for a safe landing.
Fly91 later issued a statement denying reports of any technical snag. The airline clarified that the diversion was carried out purely due to adverse weather and in line with standard aviation safety procedures. It added that there was no compromise on passenger safety and the flight later continued to Hubballi after conditions improved.
The airline also stated that holding patterns and diversions are common safety measures used by pilots during bad weather situations. No injuries were reported in the incident.
