FTEJerez  and ALSIM advance pilot training with the AL42 at FTE’s UK base

ALSIM is supporting the continued expansion of FTEJerez into the United Kingdom with the installation of an AL42 Diamond DA42 simulator at its training base at London Oxford Airport.

The simulator will enhance the academy’s training capabilities, supporting students throughout their CPL and Instrument Rating training.

The AL42 is an exact replica of the Diamond DA42-VI, built using genuine aircraft parts and equipped with the authentic Garmin™ G1000® NXI.

It also features the latest-generation image generator (VFR-VS), a GFC™ 700 autopilot, and a force-feedback system that ensures enhanced realism.

The simulator can also be equipped with either analogue or glass (EFIS) backup instruments.

The AL42 model is designed for PPL, CPL and IR/ME training in compliance with current UK CAA FNPT II regulatory standards.

The simulator features a new instructor cabin, specifically designed to enhance instructors’ working environment through improved visibility of both the cockpit and the visual system, greater comfort and a more focused setting with the option to close the cabin.

The optimised layout, wider desk and a dedicated two-seat observer bench further improve functionality during training sessions.

Oscar Sordo, CEO at FTEJerez, says “The installation of the AL42 simulator at our London Oxford Airport base is another important step in the continued development of our UK training operations. By enhancing our facilities in the UK, we are even better equipped and have more flexibility when it comes to supporting our UK airline partners and self-sponsored cadets training towards a UK CAA licence, providing them with high-quality training and greater access to the resources they need throughout their training journey.”

“We are proud to support FTEJerez as they continue expanding their training operations in the UK. Our partnership reflects a shared commitment to high-quality pilot training, and we are pleased that the AL42 will play a role in this new chapter of their development.” adds Leonardo Rodrigues, Sales Manager at ALSIM.
