Chennai Airport News: Man Arrested for Bomb Threat Calls to Hyderabad Airport

Chennai Airport News
A 45-year-old man from Chennai has been arrested for allegedly making bomb threat calls to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad in Hyderabad. Police are now questioning him to find out why he made the calls.
The suspect has been identified as Sharath Subramanyam. He is a resident of Chennai. According to the report, he was caught by the Shamshabad airport outpost police in Chennai itself.
After the threat calls were received, the police began tracing the person behind them. Their efforts led them to Chennai, where Subramanyam was apprehended. The officers then brought him to Shamshabad so that he could be questioned in detail.
Police have not yet shared full information about the calls, such as when they were made or what exactly was said. These details may come out as the investigation moves forward.
At present, the main focus of the police is to understand the motive behind the calls. Officers want to know whether the man acted out of personal anger, a prank, or some other reason. They will also check whether anyone else was involved and whether he has made similar calls to other places in the past.
Making a false bomb threat is a serious offence in India. People found guilty can face strict legal action, including imprisonment. Police often warn the public that such calls are not a joke and can waste valuable time and resources of security forces.
The questioning of Sharath Subramanyam is continuing. Once police complete their initial investigation, they are expected to share more details about the case and the legal action to be taken against him.
