U.S.-based RAero LLC and Doha-based PearlQ Software and Network Solutions have formed a joint venture to develop and deliver digital aviation training in Qatar, the Middle East and North America. Announced on 29 September 2026, the agreement covers the marketing, development and delivery of RAero’s training software, platforms and courseware.

The tie-up combines RAero’s aviation training expertise with PearlQ’s software development capabilities and regional delivery support. PearlQ will handle client engagement, programme management and local technical support, including Arabic-language localisation. RAero will provide its learning management system, aviation courseware, training platforms and technical expertise.

The training offering covers interactive computer-based training (CBT), aircraft systems, AI-enabled learning support, digital flight-deck environments, flight management system training and scenario-based exercises. Training can be adapted to airline procedures, operational requirements and branding.

Aircraft Systems and Flight-Deck Procedures

RAero’s aircraft systems courses support self-paced study on desktops, tablets and mobile devices, with knowledge checks and progress reporting. Its aircraft coverage includes the Airbus A320, A330 and A350; Boeing 737NG, 737 MAX, 747-400, 757, 767, 777 and 787; and Embraer EMB 195 and ERJ 145.

For procedural training, RAero uses WebXR to deliver preflight inspections, checklist sequences, cockpit flows and crew callouts through a browser. The exercises cover captain and first officer roles and can be customised to an airline’s standard operating procedures. Pilots can use VR headsets or standard desktop browsers to practise the sequences.

Interactive diagrams provide tools for classroom instruction and individual study.

Learners can operate switches, valves and electrical connections to see the response of hydraulic, electrical, fuel and flight-control systems.

RAero also offers more than 30 general-subject courses and an Airbus A320 Flight Management System Trainer for hands-on practice.

Cabin crew training covers aircraft-specific cabin systems, emergency procedures, emergency equipment, first aid, dangerous goods awareness and crew resource management. It is designed for initial and recurrent programmes.

Local Delivery and Training Administration

PearlQ’s role includes adapting and supporting training for regional users. Its partnership page describes local assistance with deployment, language and operating context, with a Qatar-based team available to support clients.

The company’s existing digital learning services include course development and learning management system implementation. Its BenchStep platform supports assessments, learner progress reports, content updates and certificate renewal tracking, along with multilingual delivery and organisational branding.

These capabilities form part of PearlQ’s wider offering; the announcement specifies that RAero will contribute the joint venture’s learning management system and aviation platforms.

RAero’s phased development plans cover commercial aviation, corporate and business aviation, military aviation and electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft.

The companies also intend to consider training initiatives in India and other international markets.

The agreement establishes a framework for continued cooperation, with objectives linked to Qatar National Vision 2030’s emphasis on human capability and a knowledge-based economy.

Further joint technology development, investment and new capabilities in Qatar will require separate evaluation and agreement.
