An IndiGo flight from Kolkata to Chandigarh was diverted to Jaipur after the pilot decided that the weather conditions were not suitable for a safe landing. The flight, 6E-874, had departed from Kolkata at around 11:38 am and was scheduled to reach Chandigarh at about 2 pm.
However, when the aircraft approached the Chandigarh airport area, heavy rain had caused visibility to deteriorate significantly. The pilot decided not to attempt a landing under the difficult conditions and instead diverted the aircraft to Jaipur as a safety precaution.
After being diverted, IndiGo flight 6E-874 reached Jaipur and landed safely at around 3:23 pm.

Apart from the diverted and cancelled services, two other IndiGo flights were delayed by more than one hour.
Flight 6E-2037 from Delhi and flight 6E-7414 from Jaipur faced delays as weather conditions affected normal airport operations.
These disruptions resulted in longer waiting times for passengers and changes to the airport’s regular flight schedule.
