Abelo confirms three additional ATR 72-600 options

Abelo has exercised three additional ATR 72-600 options under its existing agreement with ATR, with deliveries running through 2027.
The move adds to Abelo’s ongoing ATR placements as the lessor continues to focus on regional turboprop aircraft. Its commitments span the ATR 72-600 and ATR 42 family, with earlier ATR 42-600S positions later revised into standard ATR 42-600 and ATR 72-600 aircraft.
ATR said around one-third of Abelo’s firm aircraft have already been placed or delivered. Those placements include SKY Express and Aegean in Greece, SATENA in Colombia, and Ethiopian Airlines. Abelo has also placed ATR 42-600 aircraft with Maldivian for domestic island operations.

The aircraft are going into the kind of markets where turboprops continue to make sense: short sectors, regional routes and networks where operating cost, frequency and airfield access remain important.
For Abelo, near-term delivery positions matter as much as the aircraft themselves. Airlines looking to replace older turboprops or add capacity are working within tight supply timelines, and lessors with available slots are in a stronger position to respond.
These three additional options keep Abelo on that course, with ATR aircraft continuing to form the core of its leasing activity.
