Michael Biegert has been Managing Director of DOLL Airport Equipment GmbH since 7 September 2026. A mechanical engineer by training, he brings more than 25 years of experience in the aviation industry.
He previously worked for aviation equipment manufacturer HYDRO, most recently as a member of its management board. During his time there, he was responsible for the company’s global service business for more than six years.
At DOLL Airport Equipment, Biegert intends to focus on developing the company’s international business and expanding its service offering. Close collaboration with customers and partners will be central to his approach. “Our success depends on understanding our customers’ businesses as well as we understand our own products,” says Michael Biegert. “Only then can we develop solutions that perform reliably in day-to-day airport operations and deliver genuine long-term value.”
Biegert sees particular growth potential in Europe, America and the Middle East, where he expects demand for airport equipment to rise as aircraft fleets expand. Another priority is supporting vehicles throughout their entire service life, with the aim of ensuring their long-term operational readiness in the demanding airport environment. Growing demand is also reflected in DOLL’s investments. The company is building a new production and storage facility in Appenweier, near its headquarters in Oppenau in south-west Germany. The facility will feature a hall covering approximately 6,600 square metres. DOLL Airport Equipment’s production operations are scheduled to move to the new site in autumn 2027.
DOLL Airport Equipment develops and manufactures specialised vehicles for airports worldwide. Its portfolio includes vehicles that supply aircraft with onboard catering and cleaning materials, as well as vehicles designed to transport passengers with reduced mobility.
