KLM Cancels Dubai Flights Until March 2027 Amid Middle East Tensions

KLM Airlines News
Dutch airline KLM has extended the suspension of its flights to Dubai until March 27, 2027, cancelling services for the remainder of the 2026–2027 winter season amid ongoing security concerns in the Middle East.
KLM will not operate its Dubai services during the extended suspension period. The airline had previously postponed the resumption of flights several times while it continued to assess the security situation across the region.
Alongside Dubai, KLM has also suspended flights to Riyadh and Dammam in Saudi Arabia. Services to both cities are suspended until November 27, 2026, while the Dubai suspension will remain in place until March 27, 2027.
The airline is also avoiding the airspace of Iran and Iraq, as well as other areas affected by regional security concerns. These restrictions are part of its operational response to the evolving situation in the Middle East.
The extended cancellations mean passengers planning to fly with KLM between Amsterdam and Dubai will need to consider alternative airlines or adjust their travel plans. The suspension also affects travellers who planned to use Amsterdam as a connecting hub for onward journeys to other European destinations.
Passengers with tickets for cancelled flights can check their booking status on KLM’s official website or mobile application. Depending on their booking conditions and eligibility, affected customers may be able to rebook their flights, change their travel dates or request a refund.
KLM has advised passengers to review their flight details before travelling to the airport. Customers who booked through travel agencies may need to contact their booking provider for assistance with changes or refunds.
The airline has not confirmed a new date for the resumption of its Dubai services beyond the current suspension period. Its decision to extend cancellations through late March 2027 indicates that the route will remain unavailable for a significant part of the upcoming winter travel season.
KLM continues to monitor developments in the Middle East, and its flight schedule may change depending on the security situation. Passengers are advised to consult the airline’s latest travel announcements for confirmed information on cancellations, rebooking options and any future resumption of services.
