Nils Heuer has been appointed Director of Global Sales at Deutsche Aircraft as the D328eco programme moves toward certification milestones.
Heuer has been closely involved with the programme over the past three years as Director Sales for the D328eco, working with customers and supporting the aircraft’s positioning in both regional airline operations and specialised mission applications.
Before joining Deutsche Aircraft, Heuer held positions in sales, business development and strategy at Lufthansa Technik AG, where his work covered market development, technical sales and aircraft lifecycle support. His background in aerospace engineering also provides technical familiarity with aircraft systems and the operational requirements of mission-specific operators.
Anastasija Visnakova, Chief Commercial Officer, Deutsche Aircraft, described the appointment as coming at an important stage in the company’s commercial roadmap, with the D328eco approaching major certification and production milestones. She noted that Heuer’s combination of technical expertise and customer insight would support the continued expansion and internationalisation of the company’s global sales organisation and strengthen engagement with both civil and multi-role operators.
For Heuer, the new position comes at what he described as a pivotal moment for Deutsche Aircraft. He indicated that he intends to continue working with customers worldwide as the company expands its presence across civil and special-mission markets.
The leadership change comes as Deutsche Aircraft prepares the D328eco programme for entry into service while bringing sales, marketing, operator engagement and programme development into closer alignment to address operator requirements across regional, governmental and multi-role applications.
